Religion- Magic or Realism?
I grew up in a family that believes in Idol worship, group prayers, frequents visits to the temples, religious rituals and astrology. I went to a school where they taught about heaven and hell, and the Crucifixion of the Son of God. After five years, my school changed and there, they preached about an invisible and formless God who has given his thoughts on human life in a holy book via a messenger. As an adolescent, I was confused given the multifarious theories on GOD. Who is right? Who is wrong? I have been taught to give equal respect to parents and teachers. And here, they have diametrically opposite ideas about the Truth. Since then, I began a quest all by myself for the truth about various theories on God. I was a firm believer, and it made me smug, complacent and superstitious.
